Bella Hadid Address Adidas Campaign Controversy “Antisemitism Has No Place in the Liberation of the Palestinian People”

Supermodel Bella Hadid Address Adidas Campaign publicly responded to the backlash surrounding her involvement in an Adidas campaign that unintentionally evoked the tragic events of the 1972 Munich Olympics. The campaign, which featured Hadid promoting a reissued sneaker originally designed for the 1972 games, drew significant criticism due to its perceived insensitivity to the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes by Palestinian terrorists.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Hadid expressed her shock and disappointment over the controversy. She clarified that she had no prior knowledge of the sneaker’s historical connections and emphasized her commitment to combating hate in all forms, including antisemitism. “I would never knowingly engage with any art or work that is linked to a horrific tragedy of any kind,” Hadid wrote, stressing that had she been aware, she would not have participated in the campaign.

Hadid also highlighted her unwavering support for the Palestinian cause while condemning antisemitism, stating, “Antisemitism has no place in the liberation of the Palestinian people.” She reiterated her advocacy for peace and understanding, advocating for a world where violence and hate are rejected.

Adidas has since removed the controversial ads and issued an apology to Hadid and other partners involved in the campaign, acknowledging the oversight and the distress caused by the campaign’s unintended associations
